Surrey Piano Teacher is a Piano tutor based in near Esher
Our pianist and keyboard tutor teaches piano all over Surrey and parts of London. He is a BMus (Hons) music graduate from the University of Southampton, with Grade 8 piano and Grade 5 music theory, and his main enduring passion and interest has always been in music and the performing arts, with a love for live concerts, recitals, festivals and theatre productions in the London area, the UK and worldwide.
He is a classically trained pianist and musician and began playing piano and studying music from the age of 6. Throughout his music education at school and university he has performed in and helped with organising choirs and choral societies, jazz bands, concert recitals and music events, and he has also enrolled on various intense and challenging classical, jazz, blues and rock music courses and masterclasses throughout the UK, for example at London Royal Academy of Music and at the London Guildhall School of Music. He has used his classical training, music studies and performing background and experience to successfully direct himself into teaching piano as a private music tutor to students within the London area over the last 5 years, teaching both classical and contemporary piano to a mixture of children and adult students of all different age ranges and abilities on a one-to-one basis at the students’ homes.
He has gained extensive live performing experience on piano, keyboards and backing vocals as a versatile keyboardist and musician, being involved in many different rock, pop and soul/funk/motown bands, function bands and music artists in the London area and throughout the UK over the last 10 years, including both originals and cover bands and writing and recording his own original music material. As a professional musician he has performed on the London gig circuit and around the UK at various venues, functions and festivals including the V Festival.
Recently he has moved out of London and would like to gain new piano and keyboard students of all abilities in the Surrey area or in the South West London or West London areas. He is able to teach students who wish to work towards grade exams and those who wish to learn piano and music theory for fun and enjoyment and help with encouraging and guiding students to achieve their own individual musical goals.
